What personal information we collect

When you book or enquire: Your name, phone number, email address, and any details you provide about your skin concern or treatment interest.

During consultation and treatment: Medical history and health information relevant to your treatment (including skin conditions, allergies, medications, pregnancy status, and other contraindications), skin type assessment, photographs of the treatment area (before, during, and after treatment), and consent forms.

When you interact with us on social media: Your name, username, comments, and direct messages.

When you subscribe to communications: Your name and email address.

Model call participants: All of the above, plus recovery progress photographs submitted at agreed milestones, and video or photographic content captured during treatment for marketing purposes.

  • Directly from you — when you book an appointment, fill in a consultation or consent form, contact us by phone, email, or social media, or submit an enquiry through our website.

  • From third parties — if someone books on your behalf, refers you to us, or if we receive information from a health professional with your consent. Where we collect information about you from a third party, we will take reasonable steps to notify you of the collection, the purpose, and your rights, in accordance with IPP 3A of the Privacy Act 2020.

Why we collect your information

We collect and use your personal information for the following purposes:

  • To assess your suitability for treatment and ensure your safety.

  • To deliver our services, including consultations, treatments, and aftercare.

  • To maintain accurate client records.

  • To contact you regarding appointments, follow-ups, aftercare reminders, and recovery check-ins.

  • To process payments and manage bookings.

  • To respond to your enquiries and communicate with you.

  • To create and share before-and-after content and marketing materials (only with your explicit written consent).

  • To improve our website and services.

  • To comply with legal and regulatory obligations.

We will only use your information for the purpose it was collected, or a directly related purpose, unless we have your consent to use it for another purpose.

Photographs and visual content

As part of our services, we take photographs of the treatment area before, during, and after treatment. These photographs are used for:

  • Your personal treatment records and progress tracking.

  • Marketing and social media content (only with your separate, explicit written consent).

You are never required to consent to marketing use of your photographs in order to receive treatment. If you do consent, you may withdraw that consent at any time by contacting us, and we will remove your content from future use within a reasonable timeframe.

For model call participants, consent to the use of photographs and video content for marketing purposes is a condition of participation. Recovery milestone photographs submitted by model call participants will be used for social media, website, and promotional content as agreed.

How we store and protect your information

We take reasonable steps to protect your personal information from loss, unauthorised access, use, modification, or disclosure.

  • Digital records are stored securely with password protection and, where possible, encryption.

  • Physical records (such as consent forms) are stored in a secure location with restricted access.

  • Photographs are stored securely and are only accessible by Carlee Laws.

  • We retain your personal information only for as long as it is needed for the purpose it was collected, or as required by law.

Sharing your information

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information.

We may share your information with:

  • Booking and scheduling software providers (to manage your appointments).

  • Payment processing providers (to process your payments).

  • Email marketing platforms (if you subscribe to our communications).
